Our story
Malooga was founded by a young Yemeni chef named Mohammed, who came to the United States to pursue his culinary dreams. Mohammed had always been passionate about cooking, and he saw studying in the USA as an opportunity to learn from some of the best chefs in the world. While studying, Mohammed discovered his love for Middle Eastern cuisine and decided to focus on it in his future career. He spent his free time experimenting with traditional recipes and experimenting with new techniques. After graduating, Mohammed decided to put his skills to the test and start his own restaurant. He wanted to share his love for authentic Middle Eastern dishes with the world, and to offer an authentic taste of his home country to the people of Philadelphia Mohammed's passion and dedication have paid off, as Malooga quickly became a beloved institution in the city. Malooga's menu features a wide variety of delicious and authentic Middle Eastern dishes, made with the freshest ingredients and expertly prepared by Mohammed and his team.
